About the Artist
From an early age,
Kat Davies was fascinated by the wild. As an infant, she lived in Gibraltar and her earliest memories are of sights, sounds and smells far more exotic than those of her native country in England. Because of its close proximity to Northern Africa, the influence of that beautiful continent and its flora and fauna was inevitable. Whilst art had always been a fascination for Kat as a child, particularly as her mother had been an artist at Royal Crown Derby, it was only as a young woman and back in the United Kingdom that she took up her art seriously and within a few years began to forge a career in Wildlife Art, with her passion for conservation and love of animals at the heart of every piece of work. Kat enjoys memberships with the Pastel Guild of Europe and the Society of Feline Artists. She has exhibited with the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, the Marwell International Wildlife Art Exhibition and had three successful solo exhibitions. She distributes her work through both online and traditional galleries, her images are licensed for use internationally and her paintings are also in private collections all around the world, from friends, to art collectors, to celebrities – each ‘making animal art come alive’.
A small message from Kat Davies
‘Welcome to this website, whether you are a fine art collector, a fellow artist, an animal lover, conservationist or a kindred spirit.
I invest much of myself in animal art and although by nature I am a very private person, I hope that you can tell from my paintings how much I love my artwork and how much it means to me that I can share with you my passion for art and wildlife.
Inspired by the magnificent efforts of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, the Born Free Foundation and many other animal conservation charities, I hope to raise awareness through my paintings of the importance of preserving wildlife and supporting the invaluable projects undertaken by charities such as these to protect the animals we love, their environments and the communities which share these environments.
Please visit my art gallery and your feedback is, as always, received with warmth and genuine gratitude. Kat’.
